Damson jam

Oh my days!

Due to a¬†spell of extreme busyness, which was followed by a spell of¬†illness, my allotment (and this blog) has¬†been rather neglected. And all of a sudden … Arghhh! Everything’s grown! The potato patch is looking rather different from a month ago¬†… My mange tout mostly failed, so under the netting is actually pak choi which I got going in pots prior to planting. And I swear they ripen whilst I’m picking them …¬†I go all around the bed, looking under all of the leaves, foraging deep, picking every last¬†ripe strawb I can see, then … Continue reading Strawberry Heaven

Now, suspense over! ūüėČ …¬†In the first bed (the one nearest the shed)¬†I have planted King Edward potatoes.¬†You can see the leaves starting to show¬†¬†… In the second bed I have sown mange tout seeds, the leaves of which are also starting to come through … In the next bed along I have … Continue reading Update!

Here we go…

This blog will also serve as a handy record of¬†its progress. Well here it is in its beginning stages (two weeks ago) … In the forefront of the picture is a strawberry bed, my … Continue reading Here we go…
